We're pleased to announce an update to the Packingtown Museum's Places of Worship Map! 

This expanded version now includes religious sites, schools, and landmarks within the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Historically, these places played an important role in building community among the diverse immigrant groups in the area surrounding the Union Stock Yard and Packingtown, with over 30 predominantly Catholic parishes once acting as central community hubs.

We are also currently enhancing our People of the Stock Yards exhibit -- more details on this expansion will be available soon.
