Join us for the South Side Book Fair in Whiner Beer’s taproom at The Plant on Sun. May 29 at 1-4pm! This event will bring back memories of the school book fairs of our youth, but with a South Side spin. Purchase books and other items from local vendors, renew your library card, and learn about great organizations doing amazing work. All the vendors will have books available in both English and Spanish. Plus, Whiner Beer will donate 20% of each core beer sold (Le Tub, Miaou, or Curb Cutter) to Liberation Library.
Here’s the line-up of participating vendors of books and literacy organizations…
Bonding with a Book (storytime and art activities, timing TBD)
Chicago Public Library, Back of the Yards branch
Open Books, offering free children’s books during the Book Fair!
… and more!
